I've gotta say that The Daily Grind at the Government Center is one of the better coffee shops I've been to. It's more of a kiosk than a true "coffee shop" but it's fantastic. I work in the gov center and get coffee from here once or twice a day. Whitney, the owner and her assistant are always extremely nice, know exactly what you want when you get there. The coffee itself rivals anything you would get at Starbucks or the local version, Port City Java. It's nice to see a down to earth coffee shop where you can still order a great cup of coffee without all the pretension.
