I had heard from locals and Greeks that Stoney Knob Café is the best restaurant in Asheville – I concur! It has quickly become my go-to restaurant for out-of-town guests. If you see a line, it's worth the wait. (Exploring the whimsical decor will keep you busy.) The Greek food (the real deal) is my favorite, but everything at Stoney Knob is fabulous!

I love this place and I'm clearly not the only one... it can get packed. I wish they had room to expand. However, a packed restaurant is usually a sign of good food, good service and great menu choices. This is definitely true of Stoney Knob Cafe. It's the kind of place where the waitstaff seems almost psychic with their ability to predict what you want or need next. The food is to die for. I've never been disappointed with anything I ordered and I eat here more than almost anywhere because there are a lot of items to choose from. If you haven't been to Sunday brunch or tried one of their Peach Bellini's.... you are missing out. The Greek items are excellent. I love the Spanokapita or the Big Fat Greek Platter. For lunch, they don't skimp on the Gyro Platter or Sandwich. But Greek isn't the only thing. They have breakfast cuisine or country style comfort food. The salads are fresh and flavorful. The hamburgers are far superior to other places that serve only specialty burgers. Jamaican Jerk Wrap is fabulous. Really this is turning into a novel but what I really am trying to convey is that there are so many options the only trouble you may have is deciding which delightful item to choose this time, because trust me, they are ALL GOOD. And the service is super. So don't be put off if you see a waiting list/line... It's rarely a long wait and even if it was.... totally worth it!

Great food and atmosphere. Travel a lot and when I'm in Asheville area I always head to Stoney Knob. Great service.

Ate here a couple weeks ago, place was really busy and we didn't even think about calling with a reservation, we got seated at the counter within 20 minutes by a very pleasant hostess, server, mgr. , she seemed to be doing it all. Any how I got the short ribs over grits and jen got the lamb tacos...Best meal out in a long time. Can't wait to go back to Ashville/Weaverville.
