Krispy Kreme
Reviews
Here's the deal with this KK. There are no Hot Doughnuts Now. If you go there expecting Hot Doughnuts Now, you'll be severely disappointed. These are hot doughnuts this morning, proofed and fried at the Blount Street location, trucked in, left unglazed, and run through a heater and glaze fountain before being served. This is a step above getting them from the grocery store, and not nearly as good as driving in to Raleigh to get them. Unfortunately, the price does not exemplify the streamlining and lack of equipment clean-up. They still charge the Blount Street price for a dozen glazed. But as comedian Tim Hawkins said, "Eating a Krispy Kreme is like eating a baby angel." There's no such thing as a bad one, but better ones can be had in downtown Raleigh.
I love Krispy Kreme (I admit it) but seriously, The only one near me is this one and I refuse to go here anymore. Poor service and lies, along with not accepting an in date coupon or even reimbursing me (which left my sisters in heartbreak over not getting a doughnut). Plus, the app lies and says they have hot doughnuts when get this- they have none, let alone hot ones. Maybe they should actually just open the stores that make doughnuts and save us the time of dealing with the poor staff and usually empty mood of the place?
Went by on a Sunday morning for a dozen donuts, about 10 am. Pull up to the drive through, and they advised me: "WE HAVE NO GLAZED DONUTS, SORRY! " Huh? That's like Burger King saying we have no burgers (don't laugh, that ALSO happened to me several years ago, when we sent someone to pick up lunch.)
Went by there at 3:45 pm 6-13-12. Sorry we have no doughnuts left. Need to close place down. Other places have doughnuts. Sorry management.
