Hickory Tavern

Well the food was as expected, not great and not bad either. Typical fair for this type of establishment. The wait staff was very nice and attentive. Our waiter came back several times to see if we needed anything and to refill glasses. There really was only two things that prevented a 5 star rating from me and they were: The lights were so dim that it was hard to read the menu, ( noticed several folks having a hard time reading it in the dark.) Plus you really cannot see the food when it comes out. Second, the music was okay for a bar setting, but too loud to be able to converse across a table without yelling. These are simple fixes and I will go back to see if they are corrected. It is otherwise a nice place to go.
We love this place! Every Sunday during the NFL season we are there watching all the games and enjoying some good food and drinks. We've tried practically everything here, and I've never had an item I didn't like. Servers are always extremely personable and have small chatter with all the patrons when we were here. Management is friendly and inviting, couldn't think of a better place to watch the games!
Good burger, nice selection of beer, friendly staff and lots of TV screens. Doesn't suck.
More TVs than you can shake a stick out. Only one place has more. Food is really good, but sometimes the service is a little slow and could be a little more friendly (maybe they just get to busy??). Menu is pretty good and I'm glad they got the crab legs and such back, but could still use a little more variety. If you don't want a salad or sandwich, you don't have too much to choose from.
What's not to like? Unique sandwiches and just great execution of food and service.
