Marquis Market

I love this place and I never write reviews. A Café shop that is perfect to either study, gather thoughts or hang with friends. The ambiance is delightful! And they have Almond milk lol
If I could give this place 0 stars I would. They RUINED my rehearsal dinner. We got a call 30 minutes before our event to say that the fire marshal shut them down and that our event was to be moved to the Capital Room a few doors down. When we arrived the location was not shut down but in fact they had another party and pushed us out. There were not enough chairs or tables at the Capital Room and my guests had to set up more tables and chairs. The food was over 45 minutes late and cold and there wasn't enough (even though we paid for at least ten people who didn't even show up). They decided to give us free beer and wine but it was warm and it took another hour for ice to even arrive and the bartender they provided (that we paid for) acted like she could have cared less. I had to set up the audio myself as there was no music for a good hour and the projector we were promised at the other location took two hours to arrive then when it did first there was no DVD player (which we were told would be provided), then there was no cable to hook it up, one of our guests had to go grab a cable of theirs. Then, yet again, I had to set it up. The owner/manager is unprofessional, changed his number and refuses to speak to us even after we spent over 2k on this function. I am shocked that a business that conducts themselves in this manner is able to stay afloat. No one has tried to contact us and make this situation right. I support downtown Fayetteville and local business and I will let EVERYONE I know the terrible service we received. It's a shame too, I used to enjoy the Sunday brunch here, even when I tried to justify their increases in cost but decreases in service because I was trying to support local business.
This is the best coffee shop in Fayetteville, in my experience. It's a great place to read a book, work on homework, or just relax. The staff are always friendly (not the case at local house of horrors "The Coffee Scene") and they know how to make drinks properly. After coming from a large city to Fayetteville, I missed being able to go to a good coffee shop to do online research or write papers in a reasonably quiet atmosphere. Marquis Market fills that void perfectly given that it's a large, quiet space without thunderous music overpowering you (unlike Starbucks or Coffee Scene).
One of my favorite places in Fayetteville. A great spot for breakfast, lunch, Sunday brunch, or just chilling with a cup of tea and a pastry. You must try the turkey club, the blueberry green tea, and the market plate on Sundays. All the staff are super nice and it's a great location, too -- it's fun to sit in the window and watch folks walk by.
My favorite place to enjoy a delicious breakfast or lunch while working. A great place with a warm, comfortable, and inviting atmosphere. Thank you to Brian Smith for bringing this establishment to downtown Fayetteville.
