ScrubOaks - Contemporary American Pub

Love the music bingo on Thursday night, but the food is disappointing. I ordered a Ruben that wasn't a true Ruben at all. Tough meat on white bread with very little sour kraut and dressing. Bangers and mash another night that were okay but nothing worth a five star rating. I'll return but for the fun not the food.

the atmosphere and service was great. I liked my Philly cheese steak sandwich, although it was pretty plain. My husband ordered the Ruben, it was didn't taste right & not good at all. He ended up getting food poisoning from it. Overall, I don't think we will be returning to this restaurant.

We just celebrated my boyfriend's birthday and we had the best time!!! The food was outstanding! I had the Smokey BBQ Smothered Chicken with Bacon, Onion Rings, and Cheddar and my side was the French-Onion Bacon Risotto. Regularly, I'm picky when it comes to anything with french-onion anything, but I have to say IT WAS SOOOOO GOOD!!! Two others in our company had the Stuffed Meat Loaf with Italian Sausage Rope, Wrapped in Bacon with Port Wine Demi-Glaze (I think it needed more sausage ;-) ), and another had the 12 Oz. Ribeye Steak Grilled and Seasoned with ScrubOaks Blend. She liked her's well done, but the gent on the grill is a bad man!!! The steak was perfect. Tender. If he works there every Friday, we will go back on Friday's for him. Lauren was our patient server was very kind and did let us know if there was going to be a delay in our food, but we were in good company so it was no big deal. We will definitely be back.

I agree with the majority of the other customers….this "Pub" needs to have a menu evaluation…..secondly they need to learn how to cook. Menu- too expensive of the quality of food….Point - Crab Dip- IT SHOULD NOT BE SALSA WITH RED HOT SAUCE WITH SPRINKLED BURNT PARMESAN CHEESE…. Point: DO NOT ORDER THE MEATLOAF…..The waitress was correct- "its made daily, it changes every day…." she's right, the order that I had was support to have a link of sausage in the middle…it had a 2 cm raw piece in the middle, the two bites tasted like it was doused with French's Mustard….I took two bites of this, told the waitress what the problem was…she said "sorry, Ill let the cook know"…and I still ended up paying the full bill….unbelievable….

One of my favorite restaurants in Cumberland County, not only because of the food but because you will see the owners always there (both Tim and Gwen) making sure you have a great experience. Great place to go after a day of golfing at Kings Grant to wash down sandwich with a beer.
