Comfort Suites Biltmore Square Mall

I've stayed at a couple different Comfort Suites across the Southeast, including Tucker GA and Kenner LA, but this one is my least favorite. 1) Worst customer service 2) Smallest rooms 3) No hot tub or dry sauna They did have laundry service which was helpful. They only have one washer/dryer. It wasn't that noisy, even though my room was DIRECTLY next to the elevator. The room was clean. There were only a couple hairs in the bathtub. Gross, I know. You'd be surprised how many hotels can't get that damn tub spotless. As much as I've travelled, I've learned to have a threshold for this problem. Despite these upsides, which is a stretch, the three above mentioned problems overshadowed them, especially the customer service. So let's start with that. I've never, in the 200+ hotel experiences of my past three years, experienced such an incompetent, from-the-sticks receptionist like this one. Her name is Tammy. Famous quotes: "We have lots and lots of dirty rooms." "None of the rooms are available." "I've never actually been in one of the rooms." "I've been here for 6 years." "Don't be fooled by his smile." She was referring to me in that quote. If TV shows like Real Housewives of *insert city name here* excite you, then you'll love it here. -------------------------------- I had to WAIT a whole hour to check in. I've never had to do this before. They need to either get their housekeeping department in order, change the checkin/checkout times or both, stop allowing Priceline guests to select their room type on the website or some combination. I had a schedule and she made me late for my meeting by half an hour. How embarrassing! She was just as nice as she could be when she new she screwed up, but when I was still pissed off, and rightfully so, her attitude quickly and permanently changed, making the rest of my four night stay COMPLETELY AWKWARD. Evil stares, pissy attitudes and foul tone became the standard, even AFTER I tried to be the better person and said, "Sorry we didn't get off to a good start." She wasn't having it - complete bitch from that point onward. The rooms are really SMALL for a 'suite.' They're the same size as a standard room, especially on the 5th floor. The other Comfort Suites I stayed at were more spacious, newer and nicer looking. This Comfort Suite looks really old, like it was built in the 60s, appearing like a psych ward from the outside. Waiting on the elevator was ridiculous. The other Comfort Suites I've been to were a lot nicer, especially the location in Kenner LA, which is the airport area near New Orleans. I would highly recommend a three star in the Asheville area if you're willing to pay another $10-20 a night. I think it's worth the extra though, unless the location is far off. I recommend the Holiday Inn on Tunnel Road (3 stars), if they're rates aren't too ridiculous. Check out my other review for that. I don't recommend the Guesthouse Inn near Biltmore Estates (also 2.5 stars). The bathtub was so filthy there was mold all in the lining and I couldn't bathe. The rooms are dormitory small, and mine was adjoined so you could hear everything. That is the second 2.5 star location I've tried, and both were a fail. I would have given this location two stars if it had not been for all the drama, and I would have been willing to return next time but will instead opt to go out of my way for the three star, even if it's not the best location.

This was an awesome hotel for our needs. We stopped there for the night after driving all day. The main appeal was that they accepted animals and we were traveling with our new dog. The hotel was very clean, the rooms were very clean, the cost was very competitive and the staff was very helpful and friendly. We had arrived about 8 hours late after being stuck in traffic jams on I75 through several northern states and a terrible rain storm. We were exhausted, tired and cranky beyond reason but they held our room and alleviated the stress of worrying we wouldn't have a reservation on a busy holiday weekend (we had called a few times to give them updates). We liked them so much we stayed there again on our drive back home a week later. The jaccuzzi was perfect after the long drive and we had a nice free breakfast the next morning. We were able to eat in the lobby (we expected the dog wasn't allowed in the dining room) and everyone going in and out stopped to pet the dog. It was a very friendly and enjoyable experience. Kindness goes a long way.

We have stayed here twice so far and each time we have been extremely happy with the accomidations this hotel has provided. It is neat, clean, they provide a free breakfast, and everyone we have met on the staff have been very courteous and knowledable. I would highly recommend this hotel
