Bayview Gourmet Restaurant
Reviews
Unbelievable food. Any negative reviews must've been by people without taste buds. Everything was bursting with flavor: from the cinnamon butter for my muffin to the green Chiles in my "Ole" omelet. Great coffee, great decor, and great service. A cozy place that has outgrown its kitchen a little so yes you have to wait longer than mcdonalds. Whiners are going to whine -but foodies and breakfast aficionados are going to go to Bayview. A local gem!
Called in about 20 minutes before we arrived, when we arrived were told we "Weren't supposed to be here for another 20 minutes". We were sat after a 15 minute wait, and received no service for about 10 minutes. After our drinks arrived we were not served for another 30 minutes and after our orders were placed we did not receive our food for over 45 minutes. It has been over 45 minutes and we have yet to receive our food. Terrible service, WOULD NOT RECOMMEND
South of the border breakfast skillet was scrumptious. good service
great food, service and patio area! Had the soup and sandwhich. Water House (fresh grilled vegetables on roasted red pepper focacia bread!) was excellent and the homemade chicken tortilla soup was very good.
I've eaten here a few times. The first couple of times were good, the server was speedy and attentive and the food was mostly good. The other times I've eaten there haven't been so great. The service was slow, the coffee is not good and the refills take too long, the hash browns are bland and the food comes out cold or lukewarm at best. Twice I've gotten the potatoes for breakfast and they are tough - taste and feel like they have been sitting under a heater lamp (school cafeteria style) all day. Last time I let the server know, she said the kitchen fixed it for me and brought me a "fresh" batch, but I'm pretty sure that they just reheated them in the microwave since they looked and tasted the same - only a little warmer. I don't think I'll be coming here for breakfast again, and the lunch hasn't been impressive either. I hear the Phoenecian has a great breakfast...
