Angela's Italian Restaurant
Reviews
My wife and I have tried nearly every pizza place in Rockford, Cedar Springs, and Sparta, and this place is by far the best. Quality ingredients (especially good cheese), excellent crust... just the right amount of crust, good taste, etc. Overall flavor is good, and you can trust them with doing "odd" ingredients like anchovies without killing it. Their beer prices are very affordable. Their pasta is quite good for a small town restaurant (I've had better at "big city gourmet" Italian places, but I've paid 5 times as much too...). Pasta is still quite a bit better than I can make myself, and I'm a foodie. Simply by far the best you'll find around here. Don't hesitate to check them out.
Best Pizza in town. My only complaint is that it is hard to understand one of the people who takes the orders over the phone.
I've been there twice now and both times, the food was very good. I plan on going back again in a few days.
The "manicotti" was a 2nd rate lasagna roll up with curdly, sour ricotta and tinny and preservative flavored red "sauce". One visit yielded a stromboli with uncooked meat in the center. Ineptness abounds here..run far away.
GARBAGE... My wife ordered the Egg Plant Parm, in retro-spect, we should have not thrown in the garbage because it would have made a nice pair of shoes, more like "Leather Parm" No teeth nor knife could cut through that supposable veggie. My 100lb pit-bull, who spends his days licking his own butt would not even lick the sauce off of it. We even gave them another chance by ordering a pizza, Garbage. Another Chance with the sub-sandwiches... Again uneatable. I am shocked that this place remains in business, maybe from the senior citizen who get their boiling water drinks to sear their taste buds before subjecting them to that horrible excuse for cuisine. If you are in Sparta, avoid this place like the plague, your money is better spent at DT Trini's or Crevelings.
