Memories

Nice little bar that ROCKS. Only problem is the motorcycle gang that shows up with prison tatts on the faces and can be kinda intimidating if you dont fit with that crowd. I left early bc i felt that a few guys were hoping to rob me.
This place is really cool. It may look like a hole in the wall place but the service is great and the music ROCKS!
A very interesting place that would not draw in your polo shirt wearing crowd, but rather a group that is a little more intimidating at first glance. Once you learn to accept the bunch they learn to accept you and you will find they are decent group of people to be around, just don't let the hustler's or the biker jackets scare you off! Drinks are a little on the expensive side.
I have never been treated so badly at a bar before and I go out almost every weekend. I refuse to go back to Memories. The sad part is that my brother's band plays there all the time. The bartenders stereotype and only the regular's or older crowds will be serviced and treated with respect (which I don't understand because I was extremely respectful, not rude, and I gave the bartender a good tip). Each time that I went up to the bar, I had to wait ten to fifteen minutes just to get a beer. She saw me and she knew that I was waiting. But she was too busy talking to regulars. They were not busy, only five people were sitting at the bar. It got to the point where I had my brother go up and get a beer for me. He got serviced right away. The bartender in question was an older woman, looked like she was in her early 50's, blonde hair, and very skinny (I think she was the boss). The second time that I went to Memories when my brother's band played, they had a problem with their septic tank. The smell was overwhelming and it got to the point where I stayed outside the whole time. Then after my horrible experience, they tried to add me as a friend on facebook. Needless to say, I declined.
I rate this place in the negatives!!! I hate this place with a passion. I know i look very young at twenty two and i know being at a bar i'd have to show proper identification, no problem. However one of the night bartenders was very rude and snatched my id card and held it for at least ten to fifteen minutes. I have waited tables for the past five years and trust me i wouldn't do anything to risk my job but there is absolutely no reason to snatch an id card from any customers hand young or old ( strike one). Next i was trying to get her attention but she continued to chat with a regular i had figured, no problem i waited. After finally noticing me waiting her smile disappered and her face got all tight, it sounds a bit absurd but ture ( strike two) . Lastly i had asked a few questions about different drinks and prices and the way she spoke to me with an attitude offended me so i got up and left ( strike three). I normally go to Big Mouth Comedy Club & Bar but a few of my older friends wanted to check out Memories and i was not pleased about my experience at all. However after being disrespected i will never go back to this place or reccomend it to anybody again. The lady never did tell me her name but she looked like she was in her early fifties, light blonde hair a little past her shoulders (kind of looks fake), with teeth that look like dentures, and a shirt that was a bit to tight. I suppose if your an older man you will probably get good service.
