Sullivan's Steak & Beverage Co

Service slow, limited menu. Burger not cooked the way it was requested and with incorrect side. Use to go there all the time, had poor/rude service once and didn't return for years. Decided to give it another try, things haven't improved. Won't be back.
Sullivan's in Laurel is a neat spot with a bar, stage for live music, lunch and dinner food. I have been going here since 2003ish. Plenty of times eating the steaks at dinner and chicken sandwiches at lunch. The food is always good for the price. Several local bands play here on the weekends and I cannot remember there ever being a cover charge. The bar folks are nice and the crowd is average age. Definitely not the young wild crowd, more of a calm enjoyable evening. The place is older so if you are looking for a NEW hip place this is not for you but good if you like a friendly atmosphere. Getting in and out is relatively easy with a large parking lot, the traffic can be thick on the main street but several ways in and out makes it easy enough. I would recommend people giving Sullivans a try and see if this is their kinda place.
I visited on karaoke Friday night. Not bad if you are into country music karaoke. Food was decent, but an extremely short menu. BTW: The bartender hooked me up on drinks.
While in Laurel for a nearby wedding I decided to visit Sullivan's for dinner. There was no hostess at the door to greet the customers. The bar crowd was a bit noisy, but that wasn't a problem. My server was very rude and short with me. When asked for a drink menu, she revealed that there was no menu, which struck me as odd as there was a full bar. I decided to order the prime rib. I ordered it medium, and was presented with a brownish colored steak that was medium well on one corner, and medium rare on the other. The drinks were reasonably priced, but the food was absurdly priced for the quality and quantity. All in all, I would not recommend dining at this establishment
I asked my wife to marry me a Sullivan's. I never met Terri before but she made me feel as comfortable as a family member during our planning of my proposal. My future wife and I had been going to Sullivan's for dates for a year before our engagement. We loved going there because of the freindly people. It's just like home, somedays mom makes a perfect dinner and other days it's potluck! But its always good.
