Sent my co-worker in for some Corona today at about 1030 or so. My buddy comes back and says the cashier is charging $7 bucks more for the cases in the frige than for the cases on the floor.
I had no problems there on several occasions ... but then I don't "look" Latino like my co-worker (valid & legal visa holder).

dive. a step up from bob's country bunker in blues brothers. you know you're in trouble when you see chicken wire as a barrier. beer and booze are cheap, keeping your whistle wet for scratch.
This place was my parents 3rd date. And I turned out pretty good. Everyone over 30 who went to UMD talks about how Town Hall *used* to be good. But usually while drinking their $2.50 20oz Buds *in* Town Hall. So. Yea.
Great mix of young and old, students and blue collar, locals and out-of-town visitors. An institution in College Park for decades. You never know if Town Hall will be crowded or quiet, but it's easy to get to know the regulars if you hang out for a while.
