Not good for a Market Basket. But better than having the nearby restaraunts spoon feed in the cancer!

The prices are the best. It's crowded for this reason. The produce is just as fresh. Think about the turnover rate. Nothing sits on the shelves more than week. I'm tired of Stop and Drop dead from the price tags. Example: Land O' Lakes butter- $4.29 wtf. Market Basket-$2.99, $2.74 with coupon. In some locations you can pay as low as $2.00! This is a typical example of the top of my head. Just no comparison. The lowest I've seen is the Market Basket in Fitchburg. Unfortunately, I live near the Bellingham store so I only save 20-30% from Stop and Shop. Fitchburg seems to be more like 35-45% cheaper than Stop and Shop. Shaws is like Stop and Shop. It looks nicer but that's it. If I'm going to pay for true quality, I'll go to Whole Foods, across the street from Market Basket in Bellingham. That would be for special items like Reggiano Parmesan or Alaskan Salmon. Go to Market Basket for your everyday savings.

I will always shop here because the prices are unbeatable but the store is always a mess. The only times that it isn't a mess is first thing in the morning. It is also crowded. I think that they need to buyout the lease or rent of the old framing store and make the store bigger and update it. I've been to nice market baskets and the ascetic appeal is much better. Considering how packed the parking lot generally is I doubt it will be a problem. Cashiers talk about personal things with each other "i'm dating so 'n' so" "Oooo he's so hawt!" They also don't know how to pack items...bread on bottom. Eggs crushed by cans and then when you ask them to do it differently it's like you spit on them. I also don't know why so many people think its worth 5 stars. It never has anything. We live 1 town from Garelick farms and you can never get that milk. THE SHELVES ARE ALWAYS EMPTY FOR THE THINGS YOU NEED.

Very clean store with friendly/helpful people. Selection for the most part is there, as is a very good produce section. Worth the 20 minute drive to save money and have a good selection and price reduction. In this economy, it's definitely appreciated.

This is the only place I buy meat at a reasonable price. I can find decent little packages of meat for $3, or $5. It's one of the few places that carry lean ground turkey breast, and at a reasonable price, like $4.50 or so. At Stop & Shop, they don't have it, they carry ground turkey, with more fat, for like $7.oo. At Walmart, they have White Ground Turkey, with more fat than MB's, for $6. So, when I go to MB, I stock on meat and turkey breast. I'm not good at a butcher shop, so MB is a good place for meat!
