Went for a motorcycle ride and a friend recommended this place. First of all we walked in sat down waited 10 mins for a waiter that told us entrees can't be ordered till 5 pm, ok that's fine will order burgers, well then the waiter comes back and says the kitchen is shut down for 20 mins mind you it took us an hour and half to get there nothing really else too close by so what the heck we'll wait no big deal. Did they offer us chips or popcorn while waited another 20 mins NO!!! We had to ask did the waiter come back and check our drinks NO!!! Had to flag him down. Finally it's time to order I figure I'll get the fish and chips though thinking $13.95 is a bit pricy so it better be good. It was awful, disgusting.... Mushy soggy fish, (the outside batter was crispy though) with maybe a handful of fries the salad was wilted like it sat around for awhile. I couldn't even finish my meal as I didn't want to take the chance of getting sick. My husbands steak wasn't even cooked how he asked, medium rare and it didn't look like a New York Strip. Under staffed, not very professional and way too pricy in my opinion. Wish we would of ridden a little more, would of gotten a better meal at McDonalds.
Off the beaten path, but a magnet for year-round residents. I was advised to order from the specials menu-thank you Dennis! Had Thai mussels for an appetizer and duck for my entree. Both were great. Casual dining at a moderate price. Perched above Ashfield Lake, the view is an added bonus.
