Ate here with family today. Raw oysters were ice-cold, as was beer. Grilled shrimp salad had perfectly grilled shrimp and cold, fresh greens. Grilled oysters were so good had to ask for more french bread just to get every drop of sauce. Fried seafood breading was light, crispy, and oil was obviously fresh. Service was great, and prices were better than fair. After 40 years of being in and out of restaurant employment, from dishwasher to GM, I am considered a harsh judge. I give five stars to our experience.
Horrible service, horrible food. Worst chargrilled oysters I've ever had and the shrimp scampi was just less then mediocre. Was told there would be a wait of 15-20 minutes to be seated, probably waited well over 40 minutes. Even witnessed an employee fumble a bottle of hot sauce, only to spill it all over a elderly women's purse(a Louis Vuitton at that) and didn't even have the audacity to inform her. You couldn't pay me to come back, unfortunately there is no option for zero stars, so one it will be.
Highly recommend. Great service. Met the owners who have taken over the restaurant approximately 7 months ago. Very impressed on their hospitality. Very friendly and warm atmosphere. Raw oysters and stuffed mushrooms were great. Restaurant was full and folks looked satisfied.
Dockside has a plain exterior and a rather typical neighborhood seafood restaurant interior. Although the service was not good (we ordered a child's fish meal and got a child's shrimp meal & we asked for a high chair, then had to ask a 2nd time) and the portions were relatively small, the food we ordered (seafood platter and seafood platter with a soft-shell crab) was delicious, and we all agreed that it was so. Another thing that put us off was that they did not have oysters available the day we visited. The side salad and the side coleslaw were better than average. Also, we were very impressed with the stuffed crab balls and the Dockside boiled, then fried potato pieces. RJT
Took my family here on a Saturday for oysters. Everything was awesome!! Great food reasonable prices and a nice relaxing atmosphere. Crawfish were perfect! Highly recommend this restaurant to family and friends
