Old School!!
I was warned before I started my tab at Slinky's that the bar tenders, more specifically, the owner (a woman with a rather bad attitude and deep voice) would overcharge me. And sure enough she did. What's insulting is that I only ordered 1 round and I was firmly told that if I close my tab that she would not allow me to re-open my tab if I decide to stay longer. What kind of business would turn down more money if I wanted to spend it? In any case, I thought for certain that she wouldn't dare overcharge me with me being able to account for the number of drinks and cost in 1 round but she did! When confronted I was told it was tax and service fees that were added. Wow, how desperate can a business owner get? I understand that difficulty in keeping a business afloat. I am a business owner myself. But to scam the people that bring in some sort of revenue to your business is plain idiotic. My advice, stay far far away from this business. I enjoy local dive bars as much as the next but to have someone warn me that I was going to be overcharged and it actually happened only indicates that the majority of her customers are having the same result. In the End it will all catch up to the owner.
Great dive bar. Stiff drinks. Good jukebox.
