I visited from Idaho an had to have ronnies now I'm hooked! Best craklins an boudin in the state if u ask me : )
As a transplanted Australian in BR I had no trouble at all taking to the kind of food Ronnies sells. Mind you, it's not a place you eat at every day, God no. But once in a while it's gotta be Ronnies. It's in a completely nondescript location, as unpretentious as it's possible to get. Love it.
Dont waste your time they wouldnt tell me the ingredients of the sausage and after getting four different kinds they all set my grill on fire full of fat and grease and not a good flavor either!!! Stay away from there hammond location too !
It would be nice to know what days the cracklins are cooked golden brown with some texture left to them and what days they are dark brown and turn to dust when you bite into them please. I make a special trip 2-3 times per week but never know what I'm going to get. Is consistency something you shoot for or do you like to surprise your regular customers?
