I live in Winfield and my family eats here for special occasions, mostly. Tonight, my mom and I took my grandpa out to dinner before I take a job on a cruise ship as a chef. My grandpa's food was fine, mine was too, except it was very well done when I had asked for medium well. My mom ordered a chicken fried steak dinner with cottage cheese as one of her sides. After found what looked like a piece of glass in the cottage cheese! I took a couple of pictures of it. It felt like plastic to me, but she felt like it was glass. She had the manager come over, some guy named Joel. He took it and said, "Oh, that's just plastic. Probably from the container." Seriously?! I am ServSafe certified and a physical contaminant is a contaminant whether it's plastic or glass or whatever. My mom didn't want to eat anything else on her plate, justifiably so, so Joel took the plate and brought back a free meal card. What bothers me so much about tonight is that he was so chill about it, and tried making it seem less of an issue because it was plastic. Plus, he said that the container was probably cracked and the scoop probably made a chunk fall out into the cottage cheese. Why wasn't that taken care of? You don't keep food in damaged containers! And that doesn't make the fact that a chunk of plastic was in my mom's cottage cheese. His nonchalance really bugged me. I can't believe a manager, of all people, would just not seem to care about this. If your job is consumer based, you can't afford to be an a**hole.
Great Food, and atmosphere. Cheaper than you might expect. Definitely a top choice in the area!
Not impressed. Food was not as ordered and it was cold. We had to wait forever to get it! The soda was even gross. My dad loved it, so I'm sure we'll go back, but we def won't without him! I'd rather eat at subway. Very disappointed.
Amazing steaks and fried foods, who doesn't loved a family oriented place?
Didnt like it at all. Had to wait for an hour with 2 persons in wheel chair.
