Rusty's

Well-run and delicious food. Once the night life starts, they always have the best DJ's and Bands. Whenever I go back, something is new and fresh there.
Literally the worst "bar/grill" in Manhattan (or anywhere for that matter...) that I have had the unpleasantness to drink and/or eat at. When we went there for dinner our food came out cold (some of it even under-cooked), despite the length of time we waited for it, the fries were soggy, our drinks were inconsistent (some were way too strong, some didn't taste like they had alcohol in them at all), and no one seemed to care that we were unsatisfied. Complaints to the bartender were met with a downward glance and muttered excuses. We came back one weekend just for drinks and the door guy was inexcusably rude to my friends and me. Needless to say, I will never be recommending this sad excuse of an establishment to anyone, let alone returning here ever. If you're looking for somewhere local and good to eat and drink in Manhattan, KS, try Taco Lucha, So Long Saloon, Tubby's,or anywhere except Kite's/Rusty's (it's one bar masquerading as two). Kite's/Rusty's is only still open due to it's reputation from days long past. My father (past the age of 55) talks about it being great back when he went to K-State, but the days of this place being worthwhile are long-past, just like my dad's college days. Take my advice and head for somewhere actually worth your time and money, which is not Kite's/Rusty's. *Update: We recently went there because some friends wanted to try Rusty's new "Mexican Grill." Spoiler Alert: Food poisoning.
All new Mexican menu is amazing. Stop by and try it.
