Arrow Coffee Co
Reviews
Not only does Arrow brew the best cappuccino I have ever had, the variety of coffee brew methods and staff knowledge is amazing. Whether its your first time in, or your 1000th time, you'll feel like you've known David (owner), or many of the other staff for years! Great people, great coffee... just down right great.
Excellent coffee experience! They use beans from a roaster out of Denver called Corvus Coffee. Most all of the coffees are high-quality single origins and Arrow uses multiple brew methods to bring out the best in the beans. The staff is knowledgeable and loves to talk coffee. While not the primary focus of the shop, they have a great selection of soups and sandwiches that is updated frequently as well. My only compliant is that the shop is a bit small. So maybe it's not the best place to lay out 3 notebooks and your laptop or have an intimate conversation. However, give the shop a try! You won't find better coffee in Manhattan. The staff is friendly and loves to chat!
I just started going to Arrow, and man, is it the coolest coffee shop in town. The service is incredible and the coffee is phenomenal. It's kind of hidden behind that bank and Subs N Such, but if you can make a trip to this little shop, it's more than worth it.
I know that most people give attention to their coffee (And rightfully so. They ARE a coffee company.) but I always go there for the lunch special. A rolling menu anywhere else would make you feel restricted to one option and if you don't like it, tough luck, but I have honestly not had a bad sandwich there yet. Pair it up with a homemade soup in the winter or pasta/potato salad in the summer and you have yourself a winning lunch. The service is always top notch - The company that takes the time to learn your name and greet you by name every time you go there is rare these days. All around, an excellent experience.
Arrow Coffee Co. is the quintessential coffee shop. The kind staff will happily provide recommendations and describe the coffee for you. The prices are a little steeper than a Radina's or a Starbuck's but their coffee is excellent. I haven't tried their food or experienced their full line of coffee but I imagine I'm missing out. Definitely worth a try if you enjoy well sourced, roasted, and brewed coffee. They make the coffee right in front of you and effectively capture all the tasting notes associated with the coffee you purchased. However, because of the prices, I'm only giving it 4 stars. If it was $3.00 to $3.20 for a 12 oz. coffee I would give it five.
