Local Eatery & Pub

Horrible experience, we will not go back. Service was lacking, nice but not attentive. Had to get up and ask for service, water, ketchup, etc.. it wasn't busy. Expensive for decent food, though my son's chicken fingers were overcooked or cooked in old oil. Very cool idea, which is what brought us in, but very poor execution.
Very good. Kinda pricey but you should expect that. The kimchi soup was awesome!
The Local is by far my favorite restaurant in the area. My wife and I have a great time every single time we go. They have a restaurant area separate from the bar area. So we kind of pick a side depending on our mood. The restaurant side is quieter, while the bar side has tables and bar seating with TV's everywhere - it's a great place to be for a football game. We were really just there for a couple of beers, but ordered the Hummas Plate because the couple next to us were chowing down on it. That's something I would typically never order, but wow - delicious. I've tried several plates, though 90% of time I order the lamb burger. Seriously, it's amazing. With a side of cajun tots. And to top it off, a glass (or 3) of Wee Mac, which is a Sun King Scottish Ale. The first time we went, the bartender allowed us to sample a few beers and recommended different food items. She was extremely friendly, as is every other server that's ever waited on us. This is a great local place. We frequent as often as we can. Great food, awesome staff, and reasonably priced. Oh, did I mention the goat cheese cake?
The menu was somewhat interesting but not exciting, though it's certainly nice that they support the concept of sustainability. Very loud--tough to have a conversation there. The décor is trendy but somber--I've been there twice and always feel like I need to go sit in the sun afterward to ward off the chilly-basement feeling. Not one of our go-to restaurants, even though it's only 2 minutes from home. But it will probably do well--it always seems busy, so a lot of folks are on the bandwagon.
Very good. I had their Elk Burger, the blue cheese and garlic gave it a delicious and unique taste. As an appetizer I had the goat cheese and bread which was equally fantastic. The beer was served in a mason jar, which was fun. Didn't have to wait too long for a seat and wasn't annoyingly loud. I'll come to eat here again!
