This was our third time eating at the Fireside Bar and Grill. All the other times we have been there the food was great so when they had a special on Turkey and the fixings we thought we would try it. This meal did not live up to the food we've had before. The turkey was more like processed turkey, potatoes cold. It had a teaspoon of cranberry sauce and when I ask for more gravy figured it would help warm up the potatoes I got beef gravy that tasted like it was from the can. If we go back I will order one of the things I have had before.

Called ahead to get a table for 12 and a couple couldn't show last minute. The manager told us we needed to spend more money and have more people eat than we did because they called in an extra server and that we need to take that into consideration. We asked for nothing special when we called in and were not told ahead of time to spend a certain amount. She felt it was our responsibility to make it worth while for the server since she called her in. This was expressed before we even got our bill. This is the same manager that took a reservation from the same group the previous time and when we showed up we waited 15 minutes only to be told we didn't have a place to sit because they were too busy. Won't be going back there. If I could post zero stars I would.

… LOVE The Fireside and everything about it!! When I moved to this area eight years ago from the Baltimore/DC area, it was one of the first restaurants I went to and I haven't ever had a bad meal or experience. We go there two to three times a week, for work lunches and dinner. We also use The Fireside quite often for catering and our staff always looks forward to their famous chicken fingers, green beans and THE BEST mashed potatoes around. The menu is diverse and there is certainly something for everyone. Their queso is better than any Mexican restaurant in the area. The portions are more than adequate and prices are very reasonable. We prefer to sit in the bar area, with its warm and inviting ambiance. Having been to England, it reminds me of the English pubs - lots of "regulars" and you never feel rushed. When my daughter and son-in-law are in town, that's the first place we head to, as my "beer aficionado son-in-law" loves all of the craft beer choices! I'm not sure about Mr. Shemwell's review, I'm thinking he has not been to the same place, for the staff is always attentive, the entire Smith family is always warm and welcoming, talking with everyone. Yes, the menu changes occasionally (I honestly can't recall how many times in eight years, so it hasn't been that many), but I think that's great - they don't completely change it, they merely add new things to try. So, YOU should try it, too - it's DELISH and you won't be disappointed!!!

There's a cute cook there named Robert. A midget named Kevin. A "Hipster" Named Nick. There are all beautiful young boys. Would certainly go there again
