Very. Very good Sushi. One of my top 3 places. Prices are a bit high but well worth it.

Was not for me. The food was BLAH!! Im going to assume that the people who liked the food their, had sushi or something NOT at the grills. I had the Chicken Teriyaki and My hubby had the Hibachi Chicken. Our daughter had the Hibachi Steak. And @ $7.50 for kids meal and $2.25 upgrade for fried rice. What a joke. Anyway, the food was not at all what we expected. It was VERY plain and boring. I have learned my lesson, IF YOU WANT GOOD CHICKEN TERIYAKI GO TO THE MALL. Its less than $5.00 not $13.00 like this place. The atmosphere was very nice and the show was very nice. But the food, YUCK!!!!!!! And the service was nice as well.

Epic Dragon rolls, Sashimi; Squid, Octopus :) and a bottle or so of Okezaki Sake cold. :) Private Tatami matts- feet dropping in an enclosed room. Japanese Onnanoko preferred!.

After reading reviews at both places in Rockford I debated on which one to try. I have dined at Japanese places in LA, Chicago, NY, Atlanta, and San Francisco....This one stands up to all. The service was outstanding and the food was good and the entertaintment was fun. Food offerings were really extensive and overall prices were right in line. I highly recommend Shogun if you want quality, good food, and reasonable pricing. I travel frequently and eat out at least two nights a week. I know what is good...Shogun is the real thing...Great dining!!
