Pretty good brisket, excellent firey sauces. Stingy on the sides for a $9 sandwich, handful of chips and a pickle.
My wife and I loved the food at Big Papa's Barbecue. The Brunswick Stew is fantastic, as well as the beef brisket and bbq pork. We decided to split the loaded baked potato smothered with cheese, BBQ Pork and topped with coleslaw. It was awesome as well. You won't go wrong with the food and friendly people at Big Papa's in Machesney Park, IL.
Tried hard to like this place. Food is great but menu is a la carte and sides are overpriced and small. Menu pricing structure is not logical, beware you could have a big bill fast. Staff seemed to care less and reported no manager or supervisor was working on a Friday night. So sad to see a place with so much potential but deficit in certain key areas. My bet, customers won't tolerate the lacking service and prices despite the good tastes. Rather sad...
