Literally, the worst tacos I've ever eaten. Don't put things on the menu if you can't do them right.

We live nearby and eat here about once a month. My sons and I regularly order the horseshoes at breakfast or dinner. This is not haute cuisine. The food is simple and potions are large. I generally order the ponyshoe rather than the horseshoe and find the portion generous. The service is reasonably good and generally fast, although I have not eaten there during the lunch period.

I can't claim to know whether the breakfasts at Sgt. Pepper's Cafe are decent, only having stopped there for dinner. We were a party of four, each ordering different entrees. ALL of them were of very poor quality - fries and sandwiches were tasteless, the mixed vegetables served with the deep-fried shrimp might have been those low-end type frozen bagged veggies bought at the grocery store, Caesar salads were wilted and the scant bit of dressing that was there was unevenly distributed. The person in our party who ordered a country-fried type chicken dish with mashed potatoes stated that the potatoes were undercooked and lumpy, while the (white) gravy was tasteless and the chicken was awful - he could have made better himself at home. The portions of our various dishes weren't extremely large either. But one thing I can say is that the service was excellent. We stopped in on Valentine's evening, because other restaurants were jam-packed, with long waits. We should have realized that this place wasn't great when we saw that there were only three other parties at the different tables - at the prime dinner hour on this holiday. The other reviews seem to indicate their breakfast is okay, so I will probably try them for that, sooner or later. (We live close by.)

I really love eating here. The food is great and at a reasonable price too. No, I'm not a relative either as some immature person commented. If you want a taco salad go to a mexican restaurant not here. Sgt. Pepper's is home of the horse shoe! There are alot of places that charge extra for carry out. Alot of them don't tell you they are and add it in to your bill. I will definately continue to eat at Sgt. Pepper's. The food is awesome and the staff is awesome as well. They make you feel at home. There aren't too many places left like this and I hope its around for a very long time!!!!!
