Mr Currys India Restaurant -Gourmet

This is one of our most favorite restaurants! We love nearly everything on the menu. The owner is really friendly and always makes a point of speaking to us and asking how everything is. He cares very much about his customers. The other staff has always been very friendly too. We love to bring friends here and often run into people we know. It's a local favorite!!! Our family favorites: Chicken Tikki Masala, Chicken Korma and Vindaloo, the Chai Tea and Mango Lassi are great, and be sure to try the the rice pudding and the Gulab Jamun!!!
When I first moved here, I was excited to have an Indian place so close to my house. We went a few times and gave up. Its grandmas home cooking meets Indian food. If you are a local and want to ease from local flavors to Indian, go for it. I would not call it authentic.
Amazing food for a great price. Will definiately be going again. Server was very pleasant, and it was cozy, made me feel like I was focused on rather than them being focused on getting your money.
I LOVE going to this restaurant for their weekend buffet. They have just the right amount of choices to keep me coming, and they change a few of them up regularly. The owner is always on hand and tries to talk with everyone during their meal once just to check up. It is reservation only, but the owner said that it was because he didn't want anyone to be unhappy with the food because of an unexpected rush or lapse in customers. I can take my whole family to eat for $20 with tip on a sunday after Church. Great restaurant - will keep going.
I'm not usually a complaining type person..But this was the worst indian food I have ever had and Ive tried many different places. The place had a decent atmosphere but the food was not good at all.First of all, it wasnt even warm..I was almost hesitant to eat food off a buffet that had a luke warm temp..but was with a friend (who is Indian) and ate anyway. This food is not authentic indian...its more altered to american taste standards Im assuming...no spice at all.Several dishes had the same underlying strange sweet flavor. They had several choices out but the only thing that was worth eating was the tandoori chicken.I usually love vegetable korma but theirs was so muchy and flavorless I was unsure what kind of veggies I was eating. The dessert station was just as bad..fried mushy bananas laying in a bowl and sitting on a table..I dont have to explain what happens to fried food thats been sitting out and has not been kept warm...soggy! The lassi was plain yogurt colored orange, also not being kept cold. Then they had what appeared to be uncooked dough sprinkled with sugar..not tasty either. The waitress was pleasant, but brought our bill to us as we sat down with our first plate of food. There were no indian people eating in this place .I can see why. This is not authentic indian food, maybe its good for people who have never been to a real Indian restaurant.I will say they are inexpensive..so you get what you pay for I guess.
