Driving from So.Cal to Montana, we stopped off for gas and dinner in Malad City and happened to roll into The Pines Restaurant. Cute little place with tons of hometown charm. It appears to be family owned and operated and the staff were EXTREMELY nice and welcoming. The scones were by far the best I have ever had and the food was amazing. I told the rest of my family at home about this place and how great the food was. Next time we drive through, I absolutely will be stopping here again. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great place to stop and eat.

The smokehouse is awesome. Handmade patty with smoked cheese curds mixed in, topped with pulled pork and a big tomatoe. Combine that with the sweet potato fries and the warm scones and it is amazing. The family is really friendly and the service is great. They also have the big kahuna that is like the smokehouse but topped with a grilled pineapple. This is my favorite place to eat.

With not much expectation going in for a late dinner on our way South towards Salt Lake City just before restaurant closing time, we were happy to find this small restaurant in this small town. People are nice. So is the food. Fish and meatloaf with their secret receipe are so good. Home-grown salad vegetable and tomato are fresh and excellent. Highly recommended if you're in the area!
