Was told multiple times over the PA system at 515Alive '14 that the official, FREE afterhours would be here. They had promoted Lime Lounge and even handed out glossy free drink vouchers for artists and VIP ticket holders. So we get on over to the place and there's a line out the door, and SHOCKER, they're asking for a $9 cover. I don't think I've ever paid more than a few bucks, but it was announced to be free. It's kind of insulting that they did this, and also charged more than usual, knowing damn well there was going to be a crush of people. Giving drink vouchers was also underhanded, free drinks aren't worth jack if you're going to charge a cover so high.
I like it, it's something different in the area and really has a cool feel. Tons of great martinis too!
Great Drinks, Music, and People!
This is really a gem of a hang out!! I love the contemporary appeal of actually feeling like you are in a metropolitan setting. There are to many just blah bars and pubs around so this place raises the notch. The staff are all wonderful and the Martinis can cost but oh so good! Lime makes me feel at ease and not lost in the burbs. Music is hip, drinks are delish, and a spinning DJ is visual. Check it out!!
