Took a chance although the reviews were not great. SO glad we did! Susan our waitress was awesome. She gave us good suggestions on the menu, was super attentive and funny too. The ahi tuna special was cooked better than the fish we had last night at the fancy restaurant at the turtle bay resort. The calamari was seasoned well, the coconut shrimp had a great light coconut batter. No suggestions for improvement!
My group had calamari, gumbo, Turkey sandwich, pork sandwich, edamame and the crab cakes. Every thing was amazing. The crab cakes and gumbo were the best I've had in my life and the service was amazing. The server was incredibly helpful.
I find myself quite surprised as I skim through the words of my fellow reviewers here. I had a incredibly pleasant experience at Breakers. My family and I grabbed a table outside to enjoy the beautiful weather, and we were promptly greeted by our friendly and smiling waitress. After we got our drinks, she took our orders, and our food was brought along in about the expected ten to fifteen minutes. I got the Mahi Mahi with rice, pineapple salsa and steamed vegetables, and it was absoutely delcious. I wished I'd had room for desert, but I was too full! Both the hostess and our waitress were very polite and helpful throughout. I'd definitely make the return trip some time. Thanks for the great food!
Mahi Fish and chips was excellent. Macademia Nut Chicken was dry. Caesar Salad was wilted and had too much dressing. The soup if the day was excellent. We should have known what to expect given that the restaurant was in the middle is a tourist shopping center. The service was good.
This was a nice relaxing place. Sportsbar atmosphere Hawaiian-style. Drink prices were good. Beer selection was mellow and ok for an IPA. Food was good and service was amazing. All I can say to anyone that has had a bad experience: if you're that combative that you can't go out for a drink or food without picking a place apart then stay home. Breakers was amazing.
