I had a chance to check Cafe Istanbul out while celebrating a friend's birthday. I just started taking belly dancing classes a couple of weeks ago, so I was hoping I'd get a chance to show off my new moves (I did...and it was really funny lol). There was a DJ that played a lot of popular music, and throughout the night a belly dancer came out to perform--and she was a lot better than I was. The food was okay. I liked the Hubs' shrimp pesto pizza more than my cafe special kebabs, but it was only because the meat was spicy and I'm a punk when it comes to spicy foods. The drinks were potent. I had the Tokyo Ice Tea and a Grateful Dead, but couldn't finish them. It was a cool experience overall.
Great place to hang out. The decor and feel is perfect for a hookah lounge. They have belly dancers and different events going on all the time. The music is always phenomenal. Be warned that it is expensive. $15/entree. And please don't order red/white sauce on the side because they started charging for it....$4 each!!!! Parking is very limited you have to park across the street at a different business and you have to cross like 6 lanes of traffic to get to the place with no crosswalks.
The atmosphere was great but the food and service is the worst i had seen ever while our table was almost $400.00. Not recommended at all
This is my new favorite place. Great food, drinks, hookah, DJ and belly dancers..... what more could you ask for?!?!?! It's not expensive and the service was excellent.
The place has the worst Middle Eastern food ever and the customer service is horrible as well.
