LongHorn Steakhouse

Loved it the first time I went hated it the second. Why? They irresponsibly & foolishly removed the trout, lobster, & shrimp entree from the menu. I'm a seafood lover not so much into steak.. That being said I'll give credit where it's due - I ordered salmon (which I usually am not a huge fan of) was seasoned & cooked quite well The salad was pretty good though...
Not so great. Place was good before they moved. Not much effort from employees except to make excuses. Long waits to be seated even when restaurant is two thirds empty. That's just the start. Go to the KFC next door. You will enjoy yourself a lot more.
I agree with Mr. Haughton. Since this place moved from Beachwood their quality has gone downhill. I used to LOVE Longhorn, went to eat there 4 times a year. After they moved. We gave it two tries, about six months apart. Hoping that it was just a really off day. Nope, just as bad the second time. We now exclusively go to Logan's steak house. They get a five star rating from me.
Got a gift card here; I'd never been before because the huge chains tend to be bland. This was terrific: huge portions, all the flavors were complimentary, we didn't need any condiments, and the staff demonstrated some genuine pride in their cook staff. I would certainly go back.
When LongHorns was in Beechwood, the food was consistently good, and the service was always above par. Since they moved to Broad Street, I've been there 4 times and tonight is my last. A few weeks ago, I went in for the Prime Rib. It was mediocre at best- very fatty, but the au jus was like a cross between pickle brine and a salt lick. I gave 'em a pass on that. Tonight, my wife ordered the 7 pepper steak salad and I had the Prime Rib again. Most of it was fat and gristle, but I did my best. The steak salad, on the other hand, had a double dose of all 7 peppers on it! I like my food spicy, and when I tasted it...well just darn! So, when it was brought to the attention of the server, nothing was done or offered. It stayed on the table uneaten, and we were billed for it. Due to the lack of concern, and even debate from the server, we paid and left. She got the smallest tip I've ever left in more than 40 years of dining out all over the planet. I won't go back and I don't feel bad about the small tip.
