HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE EVERY TIME!!! I have gone to the Locos on the East Side 2 different times, and each has been horrible. The first time I sat at the bar with my husband, ordered a Mojito, and was told that they were out of mint. Ten minutes later, someone else sits at the bar, orders a Mojito and the bartender makes it. Offended, I asked how they were able to get the mint and he told me that someone bought mint in right after I ordered (would have been nice to tell me). The second time was even worse. My family wanted to take my husband out for his birthday and when we tried to order drinks, they were again out of mint, out of sour mix, and out of simple syrup (hours before the place closed). A friend ordered food that never came (and no one at the restaurant seemed to care when we asked about it), and the manager turned the televisions off despite us clearly watching the TVs behind us. The drinks are weak (if they have enough ingredients to make you a drink), the food is average, and the service is HORRIBLE. Please do not waste your time or money at this place.
My family and I (3 adults, 1 child) ate lunch at Loco's...the biggest disappointment was the service. The dining room was not crowded, matter of fact it was sparse, yet the server rarely visited our table even after she had brought the food. We tried to figure out what other things she might be doing, but we have no idea what was occupying her time. Even after she presented me with the bill, she didn't come back for a long time.
I order from this Locos fairly often, they have great service and food. Recently, an online take-out order ran a little behind (no more than 10 minutes). I wan't angry or making a fuss, but the staff was still very apologetic and worked to right the error; no surprise since they've always been courteous and helpful for me. I will absolutely continue to give them my business.
