Good food, good service! If you want a beer be sure to call ahead. They seem to be short on a liquor license from time to time.
Ate here when I moved to Athens from SC. I was told this was the "best BBQ in Athens", and if this is the case, there's not much hope. We were finally helped after 5 minutes of being seated (service was great afterwards, but we had a great waitress). The sides were $4 each for a child's serving of half-raw fried okra and soupy mac & cheese. The pulled pork was the best part of the meal, but I have since had better tasting pork at Shane's. A fast food type place should not have better food than a restaurant, but this is the case. On the way out, I saw a sign saying "voted best BBQ in the SEC" - if this is the case, I urge visiting teams to eat elsewhere.
Soooooo disappointed in our experience here. We were not greeted when we arrived until after 15 minutes. Our waitress was nice, however an hour after we ordered we had not received our appetizers or meal, despite the waitress checking on us multiple times. When one of the two apps arrived after we asked about them, it was stone cold and inedible. We waited for our waitress to come back to inform her about the cold app, but she never returned. Our family actually left without eating, as our food never arrived. The menu looked great, we were eager to try it, but boy oh boy was it a disappointing experience. I should mention that there were several other tables who were sat at the same time who also did not have food on their tables. Such a shame.

People should be required to eat here. The service is great the food is unreal. It is the perfect little hole in the wall with the best food for miles around. It is worth the drive regardless of where you travel from. People are soooo nice too
