How sad we were when Blond Giraffe closed down in Key west, back in 2010. Food bereft is more like it. And then, to discover in the winter of 2014 they have re-opened in Tavernier, FL (US 1 - MM 92), we are ecstatic! This is the best Key Lime Pie, ever, and you will agree!!! It won that acclaim on The Food Channel, and it will with you. When you go (and you must) say hi to the owners, Tania and Roberto - you will agree that they are as nice as their pies!!!
Just visited the new location of the original blond giraffe that was located in Key West!!!! (They moved to Tennessee for a few years and are now back) It's just as good as it was 15 years ago!! Got to meet the owner. Love this place!! ♡♡♡♡♡ KEY LIME PIE ON A STICK!!
Amazing original recipe key lime cookies! The owner and his wife are super pleasant. This is a great place to stop for dessert and coffee. We loved it!
It was okay pie. It was dense but very nice lime taste. I prefer more fluffy light texture.
The most expensive FROZEN KEY LIME PIES EVER it makes them very dense and beyond tart, something a real key lime lover would not enjoy, basic frozen pies. I refuse to pay $40.00 for two pies a water and two coffee's. I pref KEY LIME CAFE down the street it has fresh pies at a reasonable price and a wonderful staff.
