Cute place with lots of seating and friendly staff. Chai tea is good. Note: they don't take cards!

One of the best coffee shops in the valley.. Where else can you go where your barista wrote the book on coffee.

This was a nice little cafe with friendly (if a bit preoccupied) staff, and the food and drink was rather nice, with one exception - be very very careful of the "gluten free" items. They had several tasty "standard" options, and offered a gluten free quiche alongside their gluten containing one. They even had separate flavors for gluten free and not, so I assumed (oops) that there was no way they could mix them up, being completely different items. I even broke into mine to check that they had brought me the right one. Happy that they had, I started eating. The crust on the outside was typical gluten free (and typical quiche) fare - crumbly. But by the time I got down to the sides and bottom, it was stretchy. I don't know if you know anything about gluten free flours, and they are quite varied, but one thing none of them ever do, is stretch. My "gluten free" quiche was most definitely NOT gluten free. Sure enough, I had the horrible symptoms of having gotten "glutened" that evening and the next few days. Yes, it was delicious. No, it was not worth it. If you are not gluten free, and like a small town atmosphere, this is probably worth a visit. The pastries are locally made, and very tasty. The patrons will probably talk to you more than the staff, especially if you have a baby with you! Be aware that if you say yes to your food being brought out to you warm, the cashier will plate it up, run over to the front door, pop it in the microwave for 30 seconds and bring it over to you. Water is also by the front door, in a big copper dispenser with glasses for you to help yourself from. This was not a problem, just a surprise, especially as the cashier seemed to think we would already know this without telling us. One last thing to take note of before you head in; it is cash or local cheque only.

Great staff, terrific food and barista's who know how to run an espresso machine. All organic and locally sourced pastries. Green chills quiche in pic.
