Mouse's Chocolates & Coffee
Reviews

The staff was friendly, the guy working made a really good hot latte. There are so many amazing looking little truffles and the ones we tried were fantastic. The views of the mountains outside of their tall glass windows are striking. Very lovely little place.

I'm an espresso fanatic, and Mouse makes the best I've found anywhere in Ouray, Telluride, or Ridgway. There is also a fabulous assortment of chocolates. The only tragic element is that they wait until 9 a.m. to open. :-)

Excellent place! Very friendly service, and the mint latte was very well made. The sidewalk seating gives a perfect view of Ouray's main street, with mountains and a waterfall right behind.

TL;DR - coffee: good, cookies: good, shakes: good, chocolates: great, overall: good. The name of the place is Mouse's Chocolates, but it's just as much of a coffee shop. They have the usual assortment of lattes, espressos, mochas, etc. They also have pretty good shakes. They are also well known for their "scrap cookies", made from the scraps of the chocolate and toffee making process. The scrap cookies are good, but I actually thought they could be better. They are a little on the crumbly side, whereas I think they'd be better off on the chewy side. I routinely encountered almonds, which is fine, but I think peanuts would have been better. As of this writing, they open at 9am, which seems late for a coffee shop. The service is friendly, but a tad slow. I once saw five people behind the counter and the line moved slower than shops I've been in with three. The staff seemed like they were all new, so maybe it's just a seasonal thing. It's definitely one of the better places for coffee and sweets in town.

Friendly, Clean, lots and lots of chocolate choices! Even make good shakes and sundaes! Good chai tea latte.
