We came across this small restaurant as we heard it was one of the best in the area. It was a busy saturday night and we just walked in and they were able to seat us on the patio relatively quickly. The only let down is that by sitting on the front patio/sidewalk, you kind of miss the energy from the inside restaurant. We enjoyed our pizza and sangrias.

Inside the private dining area of Richard Reddington's Osteria-style restaurant is the old Robert and Margrit Mondavi Wappo Hill mailbox surrounded by wine bottles. On the other wall is a unique wall of magazine art. Reddington became friends with the Mondavi family and would cook for them before he started dating one of their granddaughters. Walk inside the restaurant and notice the large copper buoy used as a lighting element. Redd Wood is next to the charming boutique North Block Hotel and shares the common courtyard. Known for his perfectly blistered wood-fired pizzas, fresh salads, and house-made pastas made with locally sourced ingredients. I enjoyed the warm brussels sprouts salad with burrata, bacon, frisee, apple and a mustard dressing. The sausage pizza with goat cheese, mozzarella and Calabrian chili was my favorite. The spaghetti carbonara with pancetta and wild mushrooms and asiago cheese satisfied my soul. Don't forget to order the cannoli plate with ricotta, toffee and almonds.
Excellent Custumer service and the food just amazing
Redd Wood room is an upscale pizzeria in Yountville with great outdoor seating, excellent pizza's and a full bar and robust wine list. Although there were some issues being seats (we were a group of 16) once we did, service was excellent, food was delicious and the drinks were strong. I had the the prosciutto pizza (very good) and the brussels sprouts salad (amazing). Definitely recommend this place if you are up wine tasting in the area.
