Menu and food are ok, but as a couple other reviewers say... the service was lousy. Our waitress blamed the 45 minute wait for food on a new cook, but that doesn't explain why she didn't refill our water glasses or check on us. Granted, it was a busy Saturday afternoon (June 2014), but it seemed they were in 'damage control mode'. If you're headed up the valley, keep driving to St. Helena or Calistoga; Yountville felt like a tourist wallet vacuum.
I hardly write reviews but had to write this one because of our recent experience. Food is okay ( we liked Blues Burger) but the service is terrible. We have been going there for the past two years and it is very unfortunate that the service has deteriorated from good to bad to worst. The seaters are very unfriendly, not only to adults but also to Kids, they barely smile and makes it very obvious that they don't like kids in the restaurant. In our most recent visits (last three), we requested high chairs for our kids and the seater just ignored it every time. We either had to find high chairs our self or had to request someone else. We asked our server an extra plate to split a meal for our kids and she decided that it was not necessary, until we asked for it again. If you have kids, I would take them somewhere else. With so many options around, you can definitely find something better.
I did not like our server. She was unattentive, she forgot to give us our drinks. She did not smile and worst part is that she decided that the tip that we left her was not enough so, she took it upon herself to charge us extra $10 to our bill.
A total tourist trap, complete with greasy burger, sloppy service and overpriced food. Considering that there's Thomas Keller's bakery across the road where you get can a world-class sandwich for $7, I'd avoid this place.
Food was amazing. Service was pretty good. And was the only kid friendly place in the area.
