The Divided Sky
Reviews
The appearance of this spot from the outside does it no justice! Easy to miss driving by, we were glad to be steered here at the suggestion of a local. By day, find a casual spot serving delicious food, prepared with care....by night, expect a fun, low-key bar atmosphere to drink local beer or expertly-crafted cocktails. Unbelievable selection, given what you will find at most other places this size--especially outside of a major urban area.
The Divided Sky is an interesting place that opens daily at 2pm. It has the feel of a dive bar / snowboarder hangout, but serves up excellent food. Their menu consists of warm sandwiches, a few starters, salads and soup. The ingredients are all very good quality and much of it is organic. For starters we had organic edamame and garlic bread. Both were well executed and delicious. The garlic bread has large chunks of roasted garlic which is a plus. I had the Kiva sandwich, which is made with wild caught salmon, raw onions, goat cheese, and mixed greens on a ciabatta roll. It was heavenly, the salmon and goat cheese flavors blended together beautifully and I really enjoyed it. On the side I had their tomato basil soup, which was flavorful and tangy, it could have been a bit thicker, but I still liked it. At the table we also had a tuna melt that came on a ciabatta roll with tomatoes and cheddar. I tried some and it was very good. We also had the french bread pizza which was fun and tasty. Also at the table there was a Jenga set which we played with while waiting for our food. There is a fireplace near the windows which is nice in the winter and the atmosphere is very casual with some people just there for the drinks. The staff was friendly and jovial, and the food came out in a reasonable amount of time.
Great little place. You gotta try the nachos.
God bless this pub...
