Best Italian seafood in San Luis Obispo
Had a great dinner on Tuesday. Beautiful restaurant, staff very knowledgeable about the menu items, specials etc. I'm a sucker for comfort food this time of year, so even though I was tempted by the sea bass, pork tenderloin etc., I had the oso bucco with risotto. What I loved about the menu, was it had all kinds of continental dishes, local fish and seafood specials, but especially with all the italian dishes, although I'm gluten free there were many choices other than pasta...like the risotto. The caesar salad was done the old fashioned way and was superb. Christine, our waitress was professional and fun.
My mate and I have enjoyed to the fullest our meals at Gennaro's! If you are looking for amazing quality food in a warm and romantic ambiance, give this place a try!!! Perks - Amazing food, ask the Raul to pair your food with some delicious wines! -The BEST filet mignon that my mate and I have EVER had... and we're foodies, we eat out everywhere and all the time! -Delicious appetizers - try the Crispy Potato Gnocchi or the Scallops with Bacon, just amazing! - Try their homemade desserts, like the cheesecake! Make sure to leave room because the desserts are DEVINE! I can't stress enough how top the quality of the food is here. My mate and I go here when we want to enjoy a lovely dinner. Things to keep in mind - This place is not cheap, it's on the pricey side.. but all the food is WORTH IT!!! Try it out once! You will not regret it!
