Really great cheese. Also looked like a decent spot for a lunch stop though I didn't try it. I saw a bunch of bikers stopping here for lunch. Only outdoor seating though so I suppose it requires good weather.
A great place for bikers to stop as it has outdoor seating and you can get a fresh sandwich here. You can buy cheeses that are small enough to carry away as you bike. The cheese was soft and delicious.
I've been stopping at the Marin French Cheese Company for years, most recently this summer. This time we just missed the 11 AM tour by a few minutes but had a pleasant time comparing notes in the tasting room -- I like the Schloss best, what's your favorite? This is a fine place to picnic. I truly enjoy taking a wine and cheese break looking out on the pond, watching youngsters feed or chase the ducks.
We were flying down the country road and suddenly saw a local cheese sign...we bleww past but turned around to taste some of the best cheese I have had of this type...and had a grand picknick by thier pond...what beautitiful country! Please try thier cheese its really good ...from Texas and will be back! No in fact I'm ordering on line some of the best right now...
Great location and excellent place to take your family for a picnick or as a place to grab a sandwich on your way to Pt. Reyes.
