I never give anything 5 stars because I think there is always room for improvement. This is the exception. The Cowgirl Creamery is a simple place that makes outstanding cheese. Excellent service and knowledgeable staff make this a most satisfying experience. I won't bother telling you which cheese is the best because they all are. My partner agreed that the Redhawk was the best overall but other than that there is no clear winner. I was a firm cheese lover when I got there but left with a swing to the soft and ripe. There are cheeses from other producers sold there as well. We even bought a big flavorful cheese from Ann Arbor MI and one from CO. Tasting and sampling was never so much fun. The Farmstead bay blue was a game changer for me as it beats my personal fave from France with a stick. Our cheese guide apologized for the shortage of cheese available after the Labor Day weekend but we didn't even notice they were lacking some of their usual varieties. Plan your trip, now!

We was driving down highway 1 and stopped at the local gas station..the lady from the gas station was the sweetest lady and referred us to stop here for some soup and bread.. it was the best!

The greatest mocha I ever had. I sold fair trade, single origin, high altitude, aviary friendly coffee for a living people. I drink a lot of coffee. The mocha here was unbelievable, barely sweet, rich and just life affirming. I have been buying them all week to fill the hole in my life left by this place, it will take a long time to find something like it in the bay. The town is too white for my tastes but I will be coming back for this place. ::thumbs up::

This place is worth the trip. Stop here for lunch while visiting the scenic Pt. Reyes area for some gourmet rustic comfort food. They take simple things like grilled cheese and tomato soup and turn it into something truly memorable. Plus they let you sample all kinds of amazing cheese before you buy! If you're lucky, you can see them making cheese there too!

I absolutely love this place! While visiting Northern California I was fortunate to come across Cowgirl Creamery cheese and was lucky to make it here. The cheese is being made on the spot and on display for you to see. It's a cute shop with cheese accessories like cutting boards and knives. I purchased several of their gift bags that had 4 different cheese option inside to bring back to NY. Everyone I gifted the bags to loved the cheese. I can't wait to go there again.
