Pappy McGregor's Irish Pub
Reviews
They were busy when we stopped in recently on a Friday night. The only seats available were out on the street in January so it was a bit brisk. The highlights of the meal were the drinks. My wife considered her sandwich OK, while she raved about the drink (Kilt Lifter). Our friends split the potato leak soup and raved about it, as well as the Moscow Mule. I had the ahi salad and a microbrew and was not overly impressed. So very mixed review at our table, but the crowd suggests the place is good if you know what to order.
Waaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyy over priced, beer made 5 minutes down the road is more expensive here than anywhere else in town. I got food poisoning from a damn salad here. As a chef I went back to just let someone there know they may have staff cross contaminating food, I didn't want a refund... I was told that I was a liar and couldn't have a refund. Rude and loud in a joint that looks like every trendy tourist fake celtic bar in the country puked it's decorations on the walls.
Food is pretty good, above average even, if you stay with pub fare, i got the NY steak nd for the price I was not too impressed. I will stick to my usual fish and chips next time. The atmosphere is nice, they have music some nights and plenty of TVs for different sports. It is right on the park on downtown Paso
Everything is great at this location, but they really need to do something about their water. It is just gross.
Solid place in Paso, been to a few others but this is a great choice for pub grub and a drink.
