We had to wait about 45 minutes, even after arriving at 8:30. It was worth the wait! The bartender was quite busy with all the waiting guests, but took care of everyone. The server was attentive and had good reccomendations. My husband claims the burger was the best he has ever had-anywhere! The mushrooms-omg!The calamari was different than the traditional appetizer and super delicious. We would have licked the plate if it was acceptable. We enjoyed the closeness of the tables, as we met some really great folks! Eat at Mustard's-you won't regret it!
What a truly wonderful place to relax and enjoy a wine country meal! My husband and I so enjoyed our dinner there. It was exactly what I expected from Mustards Grill; the food was perfect and the service outstanding. The wines recommended were lovely pairings. The restaurant is unpretentious and the staff is very personable. I am looking forward to visiting again.
After a relaxing day in the sun, my boyfriend and I were looking for a place to stop for Sunday dinner. We were a bit under dressed but sat at the bar comfortably. The service was very timely and the bartender was really hospitable and friendly. Sweet Corn Tamales: SO GOOD! such a interesting mix of ingredients: wild mushrooms, sweet corn, avocado-cilantro sauce-really light and fresh tasting. Salmon with a fava bean, sweet corn, and white bean ragu: cooked perfectly, so filling and flavorful. Pork Chop: really tender, cabbage and mashed potatoes, pretty standard item but very tasty. Strawberry Rhubarb Crisp: INCREDIBLE. get it! it's awesome. Wine selection was pretty good, wish they had beers on draft, not just bottles.
It was good, the service was slow but great. The menu was interesting. We went at lunch so we ate light. The brisket was ok, lacking in flavor but a good portion. We were the only ones to get a walk in, so reservations ate highly recommended for lunch and dinner. The winery next door is great too if you have a wait!
Pros: The food...it is all so good it is hard to choose what to order! I ordered a lamburger that was to die for! Cooked perfect and very flavorful! Cons: The wait, the bathrooms and the price. We had to wait about 45 minutes in a crowded entry way because it was raining, they have a beautiful property with public gardens...but no joy in the rain. The bathrooms always have a line to get in, they should have some outhouses outside the building. The price is a little high, but in perspective with the quality of the food and dining experience.
