This is a great place to go where there are no clicks or snooty fools. Everyone is friendly and always having a good time. The KJ for karaoke is amazing with great sound and selections. The drag shows are amazing and so fun! This is a great gay bar in the Bay Area. I have been going there for 10 years. It's home for me :-)

This place is the opposite of the yuppy bars you sometimes find in downtown San Jose. I've been going off-and-on for over 12 years, and never once in that time has the atmosphere been stuffy or judgmental. It's a place where accepting people go to have fun with other accepting people. No matter what your gender or sexual preference, the folks at KoC are accepting. The decor is simple but comfortable, and the signs behind the bar are funny without trying too hard. I particularly like karaoke nights, because everyone gets claps (no matter how badly they sing). I have never once heard a single 'boo'. I hope it stays that way forever.
