Final Update. I got a call from the owner wanting to know my side of the story after she had spoken with the manager. Lovely lady, very gracious and apologetic. She was horrified by how the overcharge was handled by her manager, and more horrified that the manager was not being truthful with her in how he handled this problem. I've upgraded my rating to reflect the prompt attention the owner gave to the issue once she became aware of it. Crossing my fingers that better management will be forthcoming for this great restaurant. My credit card was overcharged, as I discovered when I got my credit card statement, and not by a dollar or two. I alerted the general manager to this and was assured a check would be promptly in the mail. After 2 weeks I called again, and was again assured I would be receiving a check. A third call led to assurances the check would be brought directly to my home. No check as of yet. Beware! Hold on to your receipts and compare them to your credit card statement. Follow-up: Despite several more follow-up calls, reassurances that I would receive a check, and acknowledgment that their paperwork showed the charge discrepancy . . . no check. Went there today for dinner. My pesto flat bread was served in a dirty plate ....speechless. Ordered a soda - fountain is not working. Same for lemonade. So disappointed with this nice settings restaurant but the service is terrible. Will not come back.
Out of all the restaurants in Santana Row, serving variety of cuisines, The a Mediterranean is my favorite! I loved the curly fries. The grilled chicken (don't remember the name) was pure happiness. The night I went there, a belly dancer was performing. It was a nice setup. Definitely something I'd never seen before. But the food grabbed all my attention, which is a tough job to do in such a lavish atmosphere.
I had the lamb sliders for lunch and they were incredibly tasty; one of the best meals I've had in a long time. My wife had the falafel sandwich and that was also really, really good. The waitress was very friendly and we enjoyed sitting outside. Definitely will go back next time we're in Santana Row (it's by far the best place we've found there).
Try out their saganaki. They have also got belly dancing on some nights. Comfortable lounge seatings for family.
