My friends and I were searching for a good happy hour spot in Mammoth Village when I saw their sign: "Best Happy Hour in Mammoth." Well that was a claim that needed to be put to the test! It's a clean, modern-looking place, definitely not a rustic BBQ joint, despite what its name may suggest. Since it was quite early in the evening we had no problems finding a table in the bar area. There were a lot of other people taking advantage of the happy hour and after perusing the menu, we could see why! It had a large selection of items and good drink deals as well ($2 beer? $4 wells? In Mammoth Village? Get the hell out!). We were quite hungry so we ended up ordering a lot: spicy wings (VERY spicy, even for this spice-loving Korean), corn fritters, loaded mac n cheese (ooey gooey and SO good, but wished for regular macaroni pasts instead of penne), Caesar salad (very fresh produce), tri tip skewers (tender and tasty--we ended getting two orders), and a pizza, lol. The four of us feasted and were quite full by the end--the portions were pretty generous. I am definitely all about their happy hour: great food, good prices, and very friendly, efficient service.

Yum, this is the place where I discovered 'tri-tip'. We didn't know what it was, but ordered it as it's supposed to be typically Californian. It turns out to be a delicious piece of smoked, roast beef. I wish we had it over here, that's how much I liked it! The plates were huge and the waiter was super friendly, as they usually are in the US, otherwise they won't get their tips. Before we were shown to our table, we had a little wait, so we had some cocktails at the bar. I can't remember exactly which ones we had, but I do remember they were quite special and delicious. If I'm ever in Mammoth again, I'd definitely go back for some tri-tip and swish it down with a posh cocktail!

I go to Mammoth a few times a year and Smokeyard has become a regular spot for us. Great food, KILLER wings and ribs, great drinks, super friendly staff. They add new dishes pretty regularly and they're always top notch. Deliciously marinated meats, side dishes are well done. The owners are usually there and are great about coming around checking on things and obviously take pride in their business. 5 stars for me.

Corn bread app was good. Everything else was lacking in.. idk it's not worth the money and above the stove they have like 40 dirty pans and bowls.
