Aqua Soleil Hotel and Mineral Water Spa
Reviews
We stayed in the Soleil suite. The pictures online show beautiful, clean, well lit rooms, with a clean jetted spa pool. In reality the rooms were dirty (we found hair in our bed and on the toilet), the room was very dark and not well kept, the spa had brown foam around the rim of the pool. The hotel restaurant is only open on the weekends, (it doesn't tell you that anywhere online) forcing you to eat at one of the local restaurants. The beds were so old and loud! Every time you roll over it creaks like it'll collapse underneath you. If you are looking to stay here for a romantic evening, think again. Any movement on the bed would be heard by several neighbors. We went home as soon as we could the next morning (I wanted to leave that night). If the room would have been $70 it would have been ok, but for almost $200 I expected much better. :(
We have stayed here 2 or 3 times when visiting family. We need a comfortable room at a good price, not the spa experience. This is an old structure for sure and the exterior isn't much to look at. The rooms are nicely redone, especially the bathrooms, and the pool courtyard looks very inviting. The lobby and the service do leave a bit to be desired at times.
Whenever there's a groupon to this place I'm on it! I don't think I would pay there standard rates as some rooms are just much nicer than others and you never know exact what you'll get to you check in. But the hotel itself is well maintained. The breakfast is fantastic! the pool and hot tubs are awesome!
This spa has significantly changed since my last stay. Service has gone south- we had to ask for spa towels everyday; the spas were dirty and far too much chlorine was used; no longer peaceful with lots of noise and finally the food was way over priced with poor service. Also they no longer provided good hot coffee in the morning. I will no longer recommend this hotel.
Ok so we drove up to the hotel and there were old, wet, dirty comforters wadded up in two parking spaces, checked in, great front desk, got into our rooms and the toilet was leaking, so they switched us rooms, no housekeeping till morning for towels, with our livingsocial deal we got a free bottle of champagne which tasted extremely sour and had a disgusting after taste, almost like expired champagne. We go to the restaurant that has 5 items to choose from starting at $12 a plate, food was disgusting, service was horrible, at this point is was still funny to us, we went back to our old dirty room, i tried to turn on the lamp and stuck my hand in tons of spider webs, still laughing, went to bed hoping to not get bed bugs, our upgraded balcony room overlooked the beautiful trashed up sand and freeway. There were two things that we couldn't stand for one, My husband was allergic to their cheap sheets and was going into the hot tub in the morning (which is suppose to be mineral pools) and was filled with disgusting chlorine and had a film of dirty on top. We both jumped out, took a shower and left a day early
