The Dead Fish
Reviews
Don't bother going for brunch. Over easy eggs medium, poached eggs undercooked so the whites are runny and had to be sent back for a redo, ; expensive crab Benedict not fresh crab so flat and fishy , no hollandaise, no English muffin. In fact no breads other than their cold, sour type rolls. Even had to send the bacon back ...to get it extra crispy. Lesson is don't do breakfast foods if you specialize in lunch and dinner. Best service by Alli and desserts pretty good too. Might try again for lunch.
We have been here a couple of times and the food is always decent, service good, drinks good. We come with friends for a group dinner this last time. If you want a great view, ask for a seat on the bar side which faces the water. There's also some romantic tables by the fire and a hidden table for two. We got the mixed seafood appetizer to share, it was good. On to the dinner, I ordered a crab Louie and when the waiter took my order he repeated crab Louie. When our food came, I was delivered a crab caesar salad instead. I was pretty disappoint and it was already really late by the time we got our food, that I didn't want to send my food back and wait. What was impressive was the Dead fish stew which comes in a giant terrain. Be aware they have a parking lot across the street, one on both sides of the restaurant.
I saw my fish ate the dead fish I've never seen, another day when I woke up,it ate the bone when hungry,I think it was hungry at night until I buy the fish food someday. And this is not I am searching for,but that was a beautiful restaurant.Today, when I look at the fish,it got in the cave. That was a far away restaurant from our home, but it built in our state.
The food was delicious and cooked perfectly! The service was spectacular! And the view...was amazing even on a cloudy DAY. A wonderful experience. Will visit again when the sun is shining
I went by myself so I sat in the bar area. I didn't mind the very high prices. I did resent having to ask my bartener for EVERYTHING. when I sat down the only said "can I get you something to drink". After that I had to ask for a menu. Had to call him over to place my order. Flag him down when my glass had been empty for 10 min. When I had been done eating for over 30 min, had to get him to give me a dessert menu. It wasn't busy when I was there. So sad for the poor service.
