Luke's Joint is a place I hope stays in business forever! They have a unique but jaw-dropping menu. They do not have regular recipes, but what they do have is superb and feels like home-cooking. Most of their dishes include pork but you can opt out for turkey, chicken, or even meatloaf. The staff is incredible and the atmosphere is "the cat's meow." I would definitely recommend this place for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. You have to try their brownies. If you a serious chocolate lover, you will love these. The Cornbowlio is also splendid as are their panini sandwiches!
I usually only leave good reviews, but I feel I must warn people about this. Just 12/17, a friend and I both ordered the eggs benedict, and less than an hour later, we both had stomach pains and other symptoms of food poisoning (we survived, but it "ran thru" and we are kinda weak today). The food was luke warm, the sliced pork that was supposed to be Canadian bacon didn't taste quite right -- we thought it might be the taste of the 'gravy' that substituted for hollandaise sauce -- pretty sad. I called them back in the afternoon and told them we were both ill, and that they shouldn't serve any more of that pork. There were no apologies and no concern expressed; needless to say, we are not going there again.
